Waypoint List For Rushing
Act I
- Catacombs Level 2
Act II
- Halls of the Dead Level 2 (Normal Only)
- Far Oasis
- Lost City
- Arcane Sanctuary
Act III
- Travincal
- Durance of Hate Level 2
Act IV
- River of Flame
Act V
- Ancient's Way
- Worldstone Keep Level 2 (Hell Only)
Andariel - Easiest Act boss in any difficulty, the only thing you have to worry about in Act I unless
otherwise specified by the person you're rushing. Does tons of poison damage, so have some healing potions.
- Take Catacombs Level 2 Waypoint to Catacombs Level 3
- Take Catacombs Level 3 to Catacombs Level 4
- Make a Town Portal in Catacombs Level 4 and kill Andariel when the person
you're rushing is in Catacombs Level 4 with you
Act II - Longest And Most Tedious
Horadric's Cube (Normal Difficulty Only) - This item is needed to transmute the Staff of Kings
and the Amulet of the Viper into the Horadric Staff.
- Take Halls Of The Dead Level 2 Waypoint to Halls Of The Dead Level 3
- Locate the golden treasure chest and clear the room containing it of enemys
- Make a Town Portal in the empty room and let the person you're rushing
open the chest to obtain the Horadric's Cube
Staff of Kings - First piece of the Horadric Staff which is needed to open Tal Rasha's Chamber, this
part is rather simple.
- Take Far Oasis Waypoint to the Maggot Lair
- Take Maggot Lair Level 1 to Maggot Lair Level 2
- Take Maggot Lair Level 2 to Maggot Lair Level 3
- Go in the north east direction, the room containing the golden chest with
the staff has to be in that direction
- Kill Coldworm the Burrower and all other enemies in the room, make a Town
Portal and let the person you're rushing retrieve the Staff of Kings
Amulet of the Viper - Beware of snakes, this part can prove to be difficult because the snakes in the
Claw Viper Temple can stop you from teleporting by stunning you with their charge, they can easily corner and kill you in
Hell Difficulty. Teleport with caution.
- Take the Lost City Waypoint to the Valley Of The Snakes
- Take the Valley Of The Snakes to the Claw Viper Temple
- Take Claw Viper Temple Level 1 to Claw Viper Temple Level 2
- Clear the Claw Viper Temple Level 2 of enemies and make a Town Portal and
let the person you're rushing open the shrine in the middle of the room to
retrieve the Amulet of the Viper
The Summoner - Fairly simple, find and kill the Summoner. Be heads up, in Hell Difficulty, you
could find yourself a Key Of Hate as a small reward.
- Take the Arcane Sanctuary Waypoint and begin teleporting to find the
Summoner
- Make a Town Portal in close proximity to the Summoner
- When the person you are rushing comes into the Arcane Sanctuary, kill the
Summoner
- Read Horazon's Journal to open the portal to the Canyon of the Magi
**Note: If you accidently kill the Summoner before the person you're rushing comes into the
Arcane Sanctuary, you do not need to make a new game. The person you are rushing will have to follow you to the orifice
because they will not be allowed to enter Town Portals anywhere in Act II beyond the Arcane Sanctuary.
Tal Rasha's Chamber/Duriel - Just like the Act I boss, Andariel, this part is a simple teleport and
kill situation. Beware Duriel's Holy Freeze Aura which will slow you down and could kill the person you're rushing.
- Have the person you're rushing tell you the symbol of the true tomb, below is
a map of the tombs and their symbols
|
The tomb symbols will always be arranged like this, This helps save a few minutes. |
- Locate and enter the tomb of the true symbol
- Find the orifice and clear the room of enemies
- Make a Town Portal and have the person you're rushing place the Horadric
Staff into the Orifice
- Enter Tal Rasha's Chamber
- When the person you're rushing enters the Chamber, kill Duriel.
- Talk to Tyreal
"Gay Jerhyn" - Sometimes the person you're rushing will be blocked out of the Palace by Jerhyn's body
guard. Most times, Jerhyn will walk towards the door and the person you're rushing will be able to talk to him.
However, sometimes Jerhyn does not come to the door, in this instance, do the following:
- Take the Palace Cellar Level 1 Waypoint to the Harem Level 2
- Take the Harem Level 2 to the Harem Level 1 and make a Town Portal
- The person you're rushing can get to Jerhyn through this backdoor technique
Act III - Fairly Simple
The Council - This part is pretty easy and this needs to be done so the person being rushed can enter
the Durance of Hate. Try to keep the person you're rushing out of the fray.
- Take the waypoint to Travincal and make a Town Portal.
- Go in the north east direction while killing everything along the way.
- Kill all members of the Council.
** Note: This will not cause the steps of the Durance to open, that is okay. Just make
a Town Portal when you take the Waypoint to the Durance of Hate Level 2 and let the person you're rushing get the Waypoint.
Mephisto - This part is very easy for a sorceress rusher becuase you can teleport and pull Meph to the
steps by the portal to Act 4 and hit him without him being able to hit you. None the less, Meph has very strong magic
and can one hit kill people with low resistances.
- Take the Durance of Hate Level 2 Waypoint to the Durance of Hate Level 3.
- It is good practice to kill everything in the Durance of Hate Level 3 to protect
the person you're rushing.
- When the Durance of Hate Level 3 is cleared, with the exception of Meph,
make a Town Portal close enough to Mephisto so the person you are
rushing does not get hit.
- Kill Mephisto.
- Go through the portal to Act IV.
Act IV - Slay The Demon And Reap The Rewards
The Forge - This is the cost of a rush for most people. This is what the normal rusher rushes
for and thus is every rusher's favorite part. It's easy and usually yeilds a high rune in Hell Difficulty.
- Take the River of Flame Waypoint and travel away from the Chaos Sanctuary
- Teleport/run around until you locate the forge
- Make a Town Portal in a safe place for the person being rushed to enter and
not get killed
- Kill all the enemies around the forge and kill Hephasto the Armorer
- Have the person you're rushing pick up the Hell Forge Hammer
- The person you're rushing then has to walk up to the forge, put
Mephisto's Soulstone on the forge, and hit it with the Hell Forge Hammer
- Pick up your rewards, grab the rune first because if it a high enough rune,
the person you're rushing may try to swipe it
** Note: If the person you're rushing does not have Mephisto's Soulstone, have him talk to
Deckard Cain and he will give Mephisto's Soulstone to the person you're rushing.
Diablo - This shouldn't be too bad, if you're a melee character, beware of the Iron Maiden Curse
that the Oblivion Knights cast, that curse will drop you in a second. Diablo does heavy fire damage so high fire resist
is nice.
- Take the River of Flame Waypoint to the Chaos Sanctuary
- Clear the Chaos Sanctuary, and make a Town Portal when there is one Seal
left to open
- When the person you're rushing comes through the Town Portal, open the
Seal
- Kill Diablo, beware the heavy splash damage and keep the person you're
rushing out of the line of fire
- Talk to Tyreal and travel to Harrogath when the portal opens
Act V - The End Of The Road
The Ancients - This quest can be difficult on higher difficulties, if you both die on this fight, you
have to start over. So this can get annoying. Make sure the person you're rushing stands in a corner far away
from the actual battle otherwise this "rush" may no longer be considered a "rush".
- Take the Ancient's Way Waypoint to the entrance of the Arreat Summit, do
not go to the summit yet
- Both the rusher and the rushee should make Town Portals in Ancient's Way
before entering the summit, if a Town Portal is opened on the Arreat
Summit
while fighting the Ancients, they will reset
- Enter the Arreat Summit
- Have the person you are rushing read the pedestal while you precast
- Kill the Ancients
**Note: If the person you are rushing dies, do not worry, they can enter the Town Portal
you made in the Ancient's Way and get back to the Arreat Summit without resetting the fight.
The rush usually ends after the fight with the Ancients, however, in Hell Difficulty the Baal Quest is sometimes expected.
So I'll add that here.
Baal (Hell Difficulty Only) - This can be very frustrating, especially if there are Black Soul's in
the World Stone Keep. Just be patient and don't try to go too fast if your character can't handle it. Each wave
has immunities to different schools of magic (ice, fire, lightning, poison) so you can only do this if you're physical or
a hammerdin.
- Take the Worldstone Keep Level 2 Waypoint to the Worldstone Keep
Level 3.
- Take the Worldstone Keep Level 3 to the Throne of Destruction
- Go the room where Baal sits and make a Town Portal in the bottom right
corner and being clearing while you wait for the person you're rushing to
come in
- After the room is cleared, Baal will begin to release his waves of minions
- Kill the first wave, Colenzo the Annihilator, which is pretty easy; fire immune
- Kill the second wave, Achmel the Cursed, which can be difficult because of
the mass poison damage; poison immune
- Kill the third wave, Bartuc the Bloody, which gets tough due to the Coucil
Members' Hydras and Bartuc's Lightning Enchant; lightning immune
- Kill the fourth wave, Ventar the Unholy, which isn't too bad, beware splash
damage; poison immune
- Kill the last wave, Lister the Tormentor, which is hard, these guys hit like
trucks and have tons of health
- After slaying the final wave, enter the Worldstone Chamber
- Kill Baal, he mana leeches and clones himself, the real Baal will say Baal
and under his name will say Demon and it will not be alighned with his
name, the clone will say Baal and directly under it alighned with the name
it will say Demon.
